Checkmate

If anyone's ever wondered which one of my OCs is my favorite, this would be him: Lord Sinclair of Laroque, a 11th century french lord set in a neko-mimi world because I say so and I like cats.

Though young, Sinclair is a man of unimaginable power. He is second only to the King he serves under, and his influence over the future of the country is par to none. As a man, he is nothing. In fact, compared to other men his age, he is weak and frail and naive to the concept of 'hardwork'. As a lord in charge of a fief, though, he is a god: a leader, a symbol, an idol.

This fearsome power comes not from his physical prowess, but from his charisma, intelligence, and his proficient management skills over his land and vassals. He might not be able to kick anyone's butt, but he has people that will do it for him.

Despite his high rank, Sinclair is a soft young man with a ideals bordering on the quixotic. By heart, he is a romantic, with visions of a bright and wonderful world filled with flowers, kittens, and rainbows. This kindness and purity makes him beloved by the public, but this does not carry over to the lesser, envious nobles.

A man will never be successful with pure kindness. Sinclair is no exception. When his illusions of whimsy and innocence are impeded or compromised, his only course of action is violence. All threats must be quelled. There is no other option.

You see, in Sinclair's fiefdom, the pure and dutiful are loved and cherished
      while the blood of traitors and criminals waters the fertile soil of his Paradise.

TL;DR: Sinclair is a super-powerful Lord. He's a nice guy, but if you won't conform to his ideals, the only other option left is to erase you.

Sinclair is... something between a good-guy and super-villain, depending on which side of him you get to see. ^q^;; I love him, but... ehh.... I'd never want to meet him. >_>

... Also, he's dead. 6w9 Hopefully that counts as a big flaw, on top of his explosive, violent anger; paranoia; delusions of grandeur; and psychotic personality.

Anyway, onto the art:
This was color practice. ^q^; I colored this about three times until I finally liked the settings of the brush I used. It took me about 13 hours on Sai. ;U; Then again, I colored this three different ways until I settled with one, so that's actually pretty fast...

I think I'm beginning to understand how Sai works, but... I still really prefer coloring on TegakiE. ;;;;U;;;; None of the tools lets me emulate tegaki coloringskdfjsd


I'll figure this out someday. I'll just keep trying things. ouo
